China International Press Photo Contest (CHIPP)
CHIPP is a platform for press photojournalists and photographers worldwide. Its mission is to encourage excellent press photography, promote independent expressions of different views and foster free and unbiased exchanges of information.
The collecting work of CHIPP 2006 is beginning now.
The organizing committee of the China International Press Photo Contest (CHIPP) is holding the international press photographic competition under the eternal theme “Peace & Development”.
“Peace & Development” invites press photographers and photojournalists throughout the world to create a visual record of the past 2005 focusing on challenges and struggles for a peaceful and prosperous world.
The competition, which is the first and largest of its kind ever held by the Photojournalist Society of China, encourages high professional photojournalistic practice and promotes free exchanges of information.
Entries from people of all nationalities and ages will be judged in eight categories. The award winning pictures selected by the international jury will be printed in the yearbook and featured in traveling exhibitions.
